At Comfort we believe passionately in the quality of the food produced in the North East, and that is why we source as many of our ingredients as possible from small farms and artisan producers in Northumberland, County Durham and Cumbria. Our menu is short and seasonal, in order to make use of these ingredients when they are at their best. All our meat comes directly from farms that practice the highest standards of animal care, and our fish dishes change daily according to the best of the catch. In this way, we can ensure that the food we serve has the best possible provenance, and that we support local businesses, retaining as much money in the local economy as we can. From field to fork, we are proud of the people that we work with - a list of suppliers can be found in the back of our menus. The rest, of course, is up to us, and we are confident that you will find something you can't resist.
